the mixdown on Zeitgeist is poor but once you become used to
it, it’s the usual goodness. I think this album puts to death the allegations that D’arcy omission from the reforming TSP line-ups weakened it. James Iha still leaves a slight hole

there’s a track on Funkadelic that is totally ripped off by The Verve (another favourite group of mine) but…perhaps it was done in homage? regardless, it is a great debut. surely Eddie Hazel deserves more credit for his guitar virtuosity?
