The Almighty’s Blessings
thank you Baba George GM James
(from left to right) Flying Lotus Until The Quiet Comes, Smashing Pumpkins Gish (the remastered edition) and Parliament Down To The Up Stroke
then In Rainbows by Radiohead, Joker The Vision and finally New Forms by Roni Size / Reprazent. I actually bought the last one myself though
thanks family

p.s I tried with a slight pun. forgive me. too much food 🙂
eh? three come at once 🙂
slightly old pic. such great, strong music though. with PE, it’s one of them ones whereby you know the songs but never actually own the CD. fixed 😀
oh by the way is Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos possibly one of the greatest rhyme performances to ever touch the mainstream?
The Almighty’s Blessings
that never really caught on with me but I do regard him as not only one of my favourite musicians of all time but a visionary, an angel among the rest
his version of Back To The World on here brings tears to my eyes
The Almighty’s Blessings
the mixdown on Zeitgeist is poor but once you become used to
it, it’s the usual goodness. I think this album puts to death the allegations that D’arcy omission from the reforming TSP line-ups weakened it. James Iha still leaves a slight hole
there’s a track on Funkadelic that is totally ripped off by The Verve (another favourite group of mine) but…perhaps it was done in homage? regardless, it is a great debut. surely Eddie Hazel deserves more credit for his guitar virtuosity?
’til the next physical media fest…

more coming
am in pain. not as young as I used to be
decided to buy this as I thought I would try to ingratiate myself with the Halo franchise before 4 hits the shelves and I contemplate a purchase. as it’s been such a long time since playing any next gen titles or FPS in general it’s interesting to finally play such a revered and cherished game
initially I hated it. I’m still not used to users having free reign over the characters / players camera meaning my aim was at first about as accurate as a drunk peeing into a thimble but…I have gotten used to it. kinda. much practice still to be had
I’m starting with Halo Reach. even though it was released after the 3rd instalment it is set before the first so I’m attempting to faithful and true to chronology
Lord…help me with stamina 🙂
The Almighty’s Blessings
(from left to right) Coldplay Mylo Xyloto, Kwassa Kwassa and Zing Zong by Kanda Bongo Man
I truly believe that Soukouss, Jazz and Funk are some of the greatest musics in life so am more than happy that I’ve finally got some Kanda Bongo Man in my life. reminds me of back home. it’s like the edge of joy and pain
Coldplay…well not one of their best. Hurts Like Heaven noticeably clips and the whole tracklisting of the album is off. after the return to form of VLV, it’s a semi return to the bloat of XY with a pop edge. still worth it for a few entries in the ‘play canon

1 good, 1 meh and 1 winner 🙂
her voice hit me in the same way that Norah Jones did when I first heard her, despite her timbre more approximating Sarah McLachlan or Karen Anne Carpenter. caught me by total surprise earlier this week as I had previously foolishly written off her music as MOR trite pants
but the hook on THAT song
damned in shop music 😉
The Almighty’s Blessings
p.s I didn’t buy this but was about to and encouraged the purchase 🙂

couldn’t resist. to heck with a reputation 🙂 !
damn. I nearly forgot what good Hip-Hop is supposed to sound like
this album has been on my list for some time waiting for a price drop (I don’t have much money) but I snap bought this to revise for a PA of his I was supposed to attend yesterday here but couldn’t due to lack of transportation :-(. only arrived today so would’ve been too late anyway
man I would love to hear some of this live. the wordplay and lyrical finesse plus the general kinetic energy seems built for public appraisal and reciprocation. I’m currently in missed-live-show mourning. will be gone in a few days *wipes tear*
Pharoahe has never really fell off my radar being one of the best MC’s around. a top 10 dead or alive placement is not an understatement. fans of his work previous to Desire will be happy to hear the abrasion back in full force while those who were turned onto Monch from that record get to hear the other side to P
Haile Selassie Karate (ft. Mr Porter doing his best Curtis Mayfield impression) is a DIFFERENT FUNK. worth the price of entry alone. a study session for MC’s mos def
get it

some more to add the library. the re-mastered Siamese Dream is brilliant – you should own this album. Silent Cry isn’t one of Feeder‘s best but…it’s too late to stop being a fan now 🙂
